I agree with the 2nd comment - I think the fundamental question is: Does the creator of EchoJS want it to be a platform for discussion?

As it stands, the current design marginalizes discussion by having the link to comments sitting all the way at the end of the second row dedicated to supplementary information.

Discussions are of course welcomed and encouraged!

Just like on Hacker News, the news title is on the first line and the other informations are displayed on the second line. 

The difference here, though, is that we sometimes have days without discussions so in this case all news will display "discuss" instead of "3 comments" for example, which may not make it obvious at first sight. The workaround would be having more discussion, obviously :)
