Just curious what peoples general feelings on posting of github projects that contain AI generated content?

I'm thinking we should at least start commenting if there isn't an [AI] tag on the post, so that a moderator can add it.

I'm a little mixed, as I've tended to remove the slop "clone of X" type posts, especially when it's not even mostly JS/TS based. I've also tended to remove poorly written blog posts that are likely AI content as well.

I'm not opposed to using AI as part of a development process, but do feel that if it isn't completely curated, it should generally be pointed out in the post. It's usually easy enough as you can see the config/state/prompt markdown file(s) in the project as such. The state of the art is definitely better today than a year or two ago. Been testing Claude Code myself this past week with some impressive results.

Personally I've taken lots of time to find a proper way to use AI keeping a good control over how things are done.
It's not perfect of course, but allows to get good results so much quicker.
It gave more results to my personal projects that working a busy day job didn't have much time dedicated.
I was always starting new ones and lost interest when they got heavier, since there was just enough heavy lifting at work.
So overall I do see the issues, but with balance, can be really a great tool.
