Been looking into and playing around with HTMX, and definitely find it interesting. The library itself is definitely JS, and there are interfaces and event hooks for tying into JS...

All the same, I'm curious if the people here would find HTMX content generally on or off topic generally speaking, since the focus is often more about the element property tagging than the library or js side effects in and of themselves.

Mostly asking since it's starting to become more popular as a general use case, and I can only guess there will be an increase in submissions over the next year. I can always make a judgement call as to how on/off topic any given article is, as I've done with a lot of existing submissions, but curious as the the general temperature in the community.

It's tied in with javascript i would say, so it's on-topic for that matter.

On a personal note, i feel it's being pushed and hyped a lot recently. Maybe it's for good reason, but i haven't played around with it (long enough) to form my own meaningful opinion.

Yeah, it’s pushed here and there. Personally, I don’t know why. To me, the concept sounds a bit like a blast from the past. In the early jQuery-era, people added interaction capabilities to every element imaginable - with bad consequences. In addition, sending html fragments was a part of the early steps of JS rendering engines and their interactions with servers of the time.
