I am some how not sold by what the article has to say. Data loading from the server is more of a latency issue and cannot be a strong reason for rubbishing the SPA concept. Also if you are deal with it smartly SEO is not at all a major headache in single page apps probably a few hours of devops work. And duplicating of routes on server and client? Come on they are two different things, one is for data and the other is for UI there is a huge difference. And just because twitter does it wrongly, doesnt mean its wrong.
