Echo JS 0.11.0

I've blocked blog(dot)openreplay(dot)com as there are more off topic posts and low quality posts than there are on topic or high quality. Beyond this, all the posts are being submitted by various accounts and there doesn't seem to be a way to establish posting accountability.

I'm sorry to those that write higher quality posts on the site, and to those that enjoy those posts.

Hi, can we talk about this? I'm one of the reponsible people for the blog (not the only one), and we'd love to keep sharing our content here.
If you could point us to the low quality articles you mention (like an example) or the off-topic ones, so we can improve our sharing strategy and not pollute the space, we'd love to give it a try.

See "General Rules For Posting" in the about page.

It's hard to point to specific examples, because they get deleted. But anything that is not JavaScript related is off topic, and there are a lot of posts. Not to mention content that is in effect advertorial or otherwise heavily tied to a commercial service. There are also the listicles, which are lists of "Best 10 X" or "Top 10 X" where there is no indication of how the "best" was determined.

If it was done by a single person/account it would be easier to manage and provide feedback... the profile/account used should have an about section that includes contact email, then I could be convinced to remove the block... would have to work with Fabien to remove it, since there isn't a UI for that.

Hi Tracker1,

The official accounts responsible for posting articles from the blog (we can't really control authors or users sharing themselves) are me and fkereki. We've updated our profiles to reflect our involvement with the blog.

From our part, we'll make sure double check articles before sharing them so avoid posting non-JS related ones or the occasional low-quality article.

Let me know if there is anything else we need to do, we appareciate your help with this.
