Hi all,

As you probably noticed (unfortunately) we have been fighting a lot of spam over the past couple months.

We are currently starting to experiment with some anti spam measures. 
It will be a process, and hopefully we will see results over time.

Just wanted to apologize for the disagreement on behalf of the EchoJS team. 
This is not a full time job for us, we have no ads, no monetization, just great articles, a great community, and sometimes some freebies :) 
But we still care about providing a good platform, free of noise.

Also we wanted to thank all the people who have been downvoting the spam, adding comments to these spam messages, etc. 
You make our (admin) life easier, and it is very much appreciated, thanks a lot 🙏

Some time ago I proposed to increment the time between posting articles so that a user can post only once per day, I even indicated what was needed to change in the config file to implement it. Also created a PR to give karma back to users downvoting spam posts but none of the above was implemented/accepted.

We haven't forgotten about your PR, and thanks for your contribution!

We had to focus on building other tools first.

Posting only one article a day probably wouldn't limit spam too much, as these spammers have multiple accounts 🤔

Give karma back is good, your PR would double the Karma spent by the user though, not so sure about that.

Double karma back was kind of my idea... mostly because if you downvote and it's deleted you are rewarded for effectively reporting.  Considering the downvote cost, and that karma doesn't come up very fast on here.
