Yes — the syntax does share some similarities with Svelte 4 (and Vue), because their syntax design is already really solid. As I mention in the docs, I’ve been intentionally avoiding inventing new syntax; I only make changes when something feels genuinely unreasonable and needs to be improved. The goal is to keep the learning curve low and reduce the “syntax cost” for users.
