and half an hour later it was deleted. What gives?

I believe you can't post links that contain your own username so you aren't just promoting all your own links.

No, it’s allowed to post links to your own creations otherwise it would be hard to promote them, wouldn’t it?

I think it’s because of duplicated content… It would be nice if @echojs could clarify this.

Posting your own creations is allowed indeed :)

In this case, the news title was only "Quick Editor", and by clicking the link, there is no description at all, neither on the page or on the repository. Makes it difficult to know what is the intended purpose, it looks like it's only a small snippet of HTML with a textarea?
