How is that news? It's a plain old JS feature as documented here https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Web/JavaScript/Guide/Regular_Expressions clearer, in more detail, and since 2010

Oh come on, it's an article published a couple of days ago. Since Ecma5 hasn't changed for years then we shouldn't post anything?

I think they just meant why is this ranked #1, when a basic regex tutorial isn't all too exciting.
