I think this is great.  I wonder if it's a first step towards open sourcing the Edge browser.

It is more likely the first step towards integration of chakra into Node.js . I Wonder where that road would lead to.

AFAIK Microsoft has already forked Node.js and swapped out V8 for Chakra in order to make Node compatible with its ARM-based versions of Windows 10.
